It’s that time of year again. In just a few weeks, students will be going back to school for the 2017-18 school year! IDEA Public Schools

IDEA public schools offer an open enrollment charter program to students at both Academy and College Prep campuses, and 100% of those students are college bound. Currently, there are 61 Idea schools that serve the Rio Grande Valley area, which includes Idea-Tres Lagos, their most recent opening in North McAllen, TX. IDEA has have achieved tremendous academic success from primary levels to 12th grade and it doesn’t stop there. They also have a thriving sports scene, taking home the most regional athletic championships. Just in time for the Back to School season, La Joya ISD will be on the cusp of completing a monumental project that connects education and sports for the community – all in one place. The La Joya ISD Sports and Learning Complex will offer opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else in the area and are exclusive to La Joya ISD students. The project includes a planetarium, water park, and natatorium that will provide an indoor competition pool, and a separate diving pool to be used for student athletes. In addition, the complex will have tennis courts and a homework center. La Joya ISD is also the only school district in Texas that owns their own golf course.
