Bentsen Palm Community Now Has a Dog Park in Mission, TX

The time has come for the Bentsen Palm Community Park to receive their very first dog park! As one of the two new parks in the city held their ground breaking, community members and leaders joined in support of the exciting new addition. One community member/ local Pastor, Cathy Garcia stated, “It’s a place where families and children and neighbors can come together and enjoy the area. It’s a place where we can enjoy and make new friendships.”

For the City of Mission, this is a great step forward in growing visitors and attractions to the area. Currently, the only parts in the Rio Grande Valley where you can find a local dog park is in the City of McAllen, Harlingen, and Brownsville. According to sources, a dog park in Mission, Texas was one of the top ten amenities the public was requesting from the city.

For home owners in Bentsen Palm, being surrounded by outdoor activities is an added bonus that makes our “living with nature” experience possible. With Bentsen State Park and The National Butterfly Center just a few minutes away, we’re excited to have a dog park that our residents will be able to enjoy minutes away from home.
